Get ready for a magical winter adventure that will fill your heart with the spirit of the season! Join us on a delightful two-mile carriage ride from the charming South Causey Inn to the historic Causey Arch, accompanied by magnificent horses from Northeast Carriages.
This enchanting Christmas experience is perfect for the whole family! You'll be welcomed by two splendid horses pulling a festive carriage, with Santa Claus himself as your jolly driver. Cozy blankets and hot water bottles will be provided to keep you warm and snug during the ride.
Before you embark on this festive journey, savour the delightful aromas of mulled wine or hot chocolate, accompanied by scrumptious festive cupcakes. Settle into the carriage, sip your drink, and savour the magical scenery as you create heartwarming memories with your loved ones.

Carriage rides are available to book on the dates and times below for a maximum of four guests per carriage (plus two children maximum under 3 years sitting on a parent's or guardian's lap).

- Saturday, 30th November 2024 - £130 per carriage
- Sunday, 1st December 2024 - £130 per carriage
- Saturday, 7th December 2024 - £130 per carriage
- Sunday, 8th December 2024 - £130 per carriage
- Saturday, 14th December 2024 - £130 per carriage
- Sunday, 15th December 2024 - £130 per carriage
- Saturday, 21st December 2024 - £140 per carriage
- Sunday, 22nd December 2024 - £140 per carriage
- Monday, 23rd December 2024 - £140 per carriage
- Tuesday, 24th December 2024 - £140 per carriage
Tickets include:
- Horse Carriage Ride, with Santa
- Hot water bottles & blankets
- Christmas cupcake
- Mulled wine or hot chocolate
- Photos with Santa Claus and his horses (don't forget your carrots for the horses!)
Please note, that Santa has to concentrate very hard on controlling the horses driving your carriage (they are not as easy as reindeer)! Sorry, you will not have the chance to meet him up close but of course, a picture next to the carriage can be taken so don’t forget your camera and your carrots for the Horses!
You can have your hot chocolate/mulled wine before or after your ride and if you would like a table at the Inn, please ask your greeter on arrival. Please arrive 15 minutes early to ensure you get your full time in the Carriage Ride.
