A truly elegant and magical venue for all occasions... Our spacious and elegant Durham Suite was once a stone stable block and has been sensitively converted into a bright, beautiful space that is ideal for hosting all manner of celebrations. The Wedding Breakfast is served in the Durham Suite, which is flooded with natural daylight and has access to a stunning private garden plus an outdoor 'Tipi Style' seating area with heaters and fur throws available.
The Durham Garden is private and exclusive to the Durham Suite where guests can enjoy drinks, canapés and live entertainment, whilst taking beautiful group photos.
We have designed this two-day wedding package with every single detail perfected for your wedding celebrations, so you don’t have to.

- Taster Night 1 year before...
Your wedding experience will begin approximately one year before when you will be invited to come to South Causey Inn and become familiar with your wedding venue. Your Chef will prepare up to four dishes from each course of your chosen wedding menu, along with a tasting of toast wine, wedding breakfast table wine and your Gin & Tonic wedding favour which is distilled on-site. Our expert Wedding Coordinators will be on hand to serve you and discuss your ideas for the big day and will assist if you require any changes to your chosen dishes to perfectly suit your palate.
You then can spend your night relaxing in your Deluxe Hot Tub Suite, and start the exciting process of planning your big day! On the run-up, our Wedding Team will be available for several scheduled meetings to ensure planning is an easy and pleasurable experience. They have all the documentation accessible for you to help with guest lists, table plans, and menu choices and will, of course, be there to guide you through your complete room dressing choices (which are all included in the Two-Day Elite Wedding Package).
- The day before the big day...
The day before your wedding, this fantastic package really begins, and it will be time to get the party started! Although your official hen party will be a fantastic memory, it is still lovely to get everyone together for this two-day extravaganza, and so our Hen House and Duck House are available for you, your partner, and your entourage to make our home your home during your stay with us at South Causey Inn. These fully equipped houses have private car parking (with electric car chargers), and in each house, four double en suite bedrooms, a kitchen, a sitting room with a giant TV and dining area, and a huge outdoor hot tub in your private gardens. In the Duck House will be a Boozy Snack Hamper for guests on arrival, and a Sparkling Snack Hamper for the guests staying in the Hen House to give everyone a warm welcome.
For the evening before your wedding, we have a private outdoor Dining Pod for twenty guests and under, which will be dressed to impress and ready for close family and friends to get together from near and far and catch up with all the excitement of this two-day celebration. You have the choice to cater to your guests with a light buffet, or our famous ‘Burger in a Box’ with skinny fries and all the trimmings! This 'night before party' can begin and end at any time you choose, but a soak in the hot tub and a good beauty sleep by midnight may be the sensible option...
- The day of the wedding...
The next day you can choose to have a continental breakfast delivered to your hot tub house, or we can arrange a table in the hotel for a full English Breakfast (keeping the day’s special couple far apart according to tradition, of course)! There is plenty of room for everyone to get ready in the hot tub houses, and beauty professionals are more than welcome to set up their stations for hair and makeup in the glam room. The Hen & Duck Houses are available again on the evening of the wedding, the only people who need to leave are you and your partner, so have a little bag packed and Housekeeping will take these to the Honeymoon Suite for your arrival as a married couple later.
Your Wedding Coordinator will oversee the room dressing of your choice and everything will be set up as you request, allowing you the time to reflect on the magical and memorable day ahead. This package makes your day so easy, we even include table favors for your guests – a Causey RIP Gin Miniature & Tonic wrapped to take home. You choose the time for your wedding ceremony in the Durham Suite, with the private tipi area and Durham Gardens, making a really easy job for your chosen photographer to capture those amazing moments.
