South Causey Inn is a family-owned and operated business offering a selection of spacious venues accommodating anywhere from 10 to 200 delegates, along with top-tier accommodations on-site. We are renowned for our unwavering commitment to delivering exceptional customer service to each and every guest. Our prime location, conveniently positioned near the A1M and just 9 miles from Durham and Newcastle City Centre, makes us the perfect choice for meetings and events. With plentiful free parking and EV charging points, our venue is easily accessible to all delegates.
Our well-appointed spaces cater to 1-1 meetings and can accommodate up to 200 delegates, with a diverse range of rooms and setups tailored for training events, networking, and business meetings. Furthermore, our extensive outdoor spaces are ideal for team-building events, and our heated 'Pod'ference Spaces provide unique break-out areas to foster creative thinking. Comprising 54 bespoke bedrooms, our accommodations cater to various budgets. Additionally, all our venues are fully wheelchair accessible, with convenient disabled parking facilities located adjacent to the venue.

The Beamish Barn
The Beamish Barn offers a charming and intimate setting for meetings, accommodating groups of 6 to 40 delegates. The rustic ambiance, complete with original wooden beams and a crackling log fire, provides a cozy and inviting environment for productive discussions.

The Farmhouse offers an ideal setting for corporate events, accommodating a minimum of 40 to 80 delegates. This stunning venue features exclusive grounds, a penthouse suite, cocktail bar, and various amenities, making it the perfect choice for your corporate function.
The Durham Suite
The Durham Suite is available for 60 to 150 delegates. This space is ideal for hosting corporate events and meetings. The suite features a separate bar, ceremony room, and private gardens, providing an excellent setting for professional gatherings and interactions.
The Old Barn
The Old Barn is a perfect venue for large corporate events, award ceremonies and business meetings accommodating 80 to 200 delegates. It features charming wooden floors, original beams, and ample space for breakout sessions and team-building exercises.
‘Pod’ference Meetings
Our Private Dining Pods offer an ideal setting for corporate gatherings, accommodating a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 20 delegates. Tucked away in our charming gardens, these pods feature internal heaters, cosy blankets, and hot water bottles, creating the perfect intimate spaces for business meetings or as external breakout areas.
The Hotspot Bar
The Hotspot is an original 1960s Bedford TK Fire Engine that has been transformed into an indoor/outdoor space, offering a unique and memorable setting for engaging breakout sessions and corporate networking events. It features undercover seating and five separate heated booths, making it perfect for professional and productive gatherings.
