Planning a farewell can sometimes be a hectic time and often it is difficult to know where to start, what to include, what not to include . If our Staff can help to arrange anything to allow you to make this day, please do not hesitate to ask! Please take a moment to browse through these finishing touches which can make the celebration unique.
BOOK OF REMEMBRANCE
A Book of Remembrance where people can write comments - or a child may draw an picture - can provide special memories which can be shared and the bereaved can take home.
Our team of florists will deliver an arrangement of your choice. Feel free to chat with our florists to create an arrangement that reflects the person it represents.
ORDERS OF SERVICE
Our Stationer can make an Order of Service for guests using photos, poems, letters or stories that can be kept as a token by your guests. A Memory Book, Charity Box and printed envelopes for charitable donations.
HORSE DRAWN HEARSE
North East Carriage Co. have dedicated staff with a lifetimes experience specialising in carriage horses and you are assured of the highest possible standard of turnout at all times.
Operating from their busy North East stables with quick and easy access to every part of the region, we are able to provide a reliable service throughout the North East and surrounding areas.
Their horses are fit and well trained and are used regularly for commercial work. Their hearses are of an elegant style and of the highest standard.
Not only a very symbolic release but loved ones can choose a favourite colour and write a message on the balloon before it is released. Some charity organisations also offer this service for a charitable donation.
A massive part of any celebration is the music which will prompt memories of good times and help to bring everyone together to relay shared tales. If you give us a list of your favourite songs, we can arrange for these to be put onto a CD for you, which of course, you can take away. You may wish to engage a Harpist, Singer, Bag Piping or other music, traditional or contemporary - the Ceremony will be uniquely yours.
Don’t be afraid to set your own dress code for the Celebration!
If you dearly departed could not bear the sight of everyone in a black then tell guests to wear something colourful as a tribute to them!
The day can often pass by in a blur and you may not remember who attended or much that happened, so an official photos can be a great reminder of those moments where people can relax and share stories and jokes and you see tears turn to laughter so everyone can remember the moments that you all shared.
Hiring a professional photographer, who is emotionally detached from the guests and who can work invisibly with the family within the room and take shots quickly and sensitively so that when you look back at a later time when grieving, you will remember all the support shown on the day.
COLLECTIONS AND THEMES
Did your loved one collect Vinyl Records? Coins? Stamps? Pokémon cards? Star wars Figures? Bay City Rollers paraphernalia?
Well why not bring some of the collection down to South Causey Inn to make a display and a talking point for others...
You may wish to move away from a traditional funeral and allow this time to reflect upon your loved one as an individual, and continue in keeping with their personality and how they lived their life.
A funeral is an opportunity to remember and mourn the person you have lost and to gather with your closest friends and family and exchange happy memories and funny stories. Paying tribute to someone does not necessarily have to be serious to be respectful. If laughter is something that you all shared, you may consider bringing an alternative idea such as a Magician or Entertainer to enhance your event and give pleasure to your guests for a truly memorable ‘send off’.
A Celebration of Life Ceremony is a fairly new concept and there is sometimes confusion as to how to behave as a guest – an entertainer can break the ice and encourage a lighter mood.
Fireworks can add a final and beautiful touch to the end of a Celebration.
